TIKRIT, IRAQ: US medical soldiers from 1-22 Battalion, 4th Infantry Division carry a fellow soldier on a stretcher after he was wounded in an attack near Saddam Hussein's former palace, in Tikrit, 180 kms (110 miles) north from Baghdad, 16 December 2003. Three US soldiers were wounded when a roadside bomb blew up their all-terrain vehicle in Saddam's hometown.
